We hope that you are all enjoying the Zinio digital magazine service from the Patchogue-Medford Library! Recently, due to positive patron feedback, we have added nine new titles to the service (Astronomy, Dwell, Runner's World, PC Magazine, Digital Photo, Interweave Knits, Knitter's Magazine, Food Network Magazine, and Forbes Magazine), and we hope that you are enjoying them.
Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that, very soon, Consumer Reports will no longer be available through Zinio. The publishers of Consumer Reports have been advised by another vendor with whom they have a separate library distribution agreement that the availability of Consumer Reports through Zinio violates that agreement. Consequently, the publishers of Consumer Reports have determined that they have no choice but to reluctantly withdraw Consumer Reports from Zinio.
We are sorry that we can no longer offer Consumer Reports though Zinio to our patrons, but, unfortunately, neither the Patchogue-Medford Library nor Zinio has any control over the situation. However, articles and information from Consumer Reports can still be downloaded and printed using our electronic subscription to Consumer Reports with Cars Best Deals Plus or to the Masterfile Premier electronic database; to find out more, call the Patchogue-Medford Library Reference Desk at 654-4700 x. 2. Consumer Reports is, of course, also available in print in the Patchogue-Medford Library, in both the Newspaper & Magazine Area and the Consumer Reference Area.
Our apologies, and thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions about Zinio or some suggestions for some titles that you would like to see available through Zinio, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
